Your own domain

Point a domain you own at your site and every page — including listing pages — is served from it. Certificates are handled for you.

What you get

With a domain connected, yourname.com serves your landing page, your listing pages, your journal, your contact page — everything. Links are relative to your domain, and the addresses shared on social media are yours.

Setting it up

  1. Enter the domain. Website → Landing, in the custom domain card. Type the domain exactly as you want it to appear.
  2. Add the DNS record. The card shows you the target. At your domain registrar, create a CNAME for the host, pointing at that target. For a bare domain — yourname.com with no www — use whatever your registrar calls ALIAS or CNAME flattening.
  3. Wait, then check. Press Check status on the card. DNS usually propagates within minutes but is allowed to take a day.
  4. Done. When the certificate is issued, the card marks the domain verified and the domain goes live.
If your registrar is Cloudflare

Set the record to DNS only — the grey cloud, not the orange one. Cloudflare’s default is proxied, and a proxied record stops the certificate from ever being issued. The status check will sit at pending indefinitely with no other symptom.

While you wait

Nothing breaks. Your Luxury Lab address keeps serving the site the whole time, and it keeps working afterwards.

Handled entirely for you. There is nothing to buy, install, or renew.

Which domain to use

Either a bare domain (yourname.com) or a subdomain (homes.yourname.com).

If you use the bare domain, decide what www.yourname.com should do — most registrars can redirect it, and it is worth setting up so both spellings work.

Removing it

Clear the field on the same card. The site reverts to its Luxury Lab address immediately. Remember to remove the DNS record too.
