Editing a piece
Click any line to edit it, and a floating toolbar appears with everything you can do to that line. The sidebar holds the choices that affect the whole piece.
The copy
Click any text and type. Every line on a piece is directly editable.
Selecting a line raises a small floating toolbar anchored to it:

Hidden elements can be brought back from a row of chips in the sidebar — nothing is lost by hiding it.
The sidebar
Choices that affect the whole piece:
- Format — square, portrait, story, X, wide. Typography rescales per format, so a story is not just a stretched square.
- Style — photo, minimal, or frame.
- Ground — paper, primary, or accent. Inks flip automatically to stay legible.
- The photograph — the listing’s own photographs, your library, and the house collection side by side, plus an upload button.
- Focal point — a 3 × 3 grid deciding which part of the photograph survives the crop.
- Scrim depth — how much the photograph is darkened behind the type.
- Show toggles — logo, contact details, headshot, badge.
- Reset all styling — back to the template.
Photographs on a piece
Two scrim shapes exist because two kinds of composition need different things:
- Edges — a gradient from the corners. Right for pieces whose type is anchored to a corner.
- Veil — an even wash. Required for centred compositions, or white type lands invisibly on a sunlit white villa.
If type is hard to read over your photograph, try the other scrim before reaching for a different photograph.
What saves
Everything, immediately, to the piece. There is no save button, and no state hidden in the address bar — the piece you see is the piece as stored.
Elle edits the same piece
Make the headline bigger and drop the phone number.
Use the second photo and switch it to the story format.
She writes to the same record; the workbench picks up her changes without a reload.
Exporting
Social — the export gives you a PNG at the chosen format. The same renderer draws both what you see and what you download, so there are no surprises.
Print — ⌘P → Save as PDF. Turn on background graphics in the print dialog.
Five deliberately typographic templates
Open-house and coming-soon are typographic on purpose — their whole point is the absence of a photograph. Milestone, note from the desk, and market pulse are the same. They take no photograph, and that is the design rather than an omission.
