Photographs
Where a listing’s images come from, how to add your own, and how to control what shows and in what order.
Three sources
- The feed. MLS photographs arrive with the listing and refresh as the MLS record changes.
- Uploads. Your own photographs, added from the listing page.
- Elle. Photographs attached in the drawer, or texted to her.
They live side by side. Uploads are never disturbed by an MLS sync — the feed only reconciles the photographs it provided.
Uploading
On a listing, open the photo manager and choose Upload photos. You can select several at once. Images are resized in your browser before they upload, so large camera files are not a problem.
Up to twenty-four at a time. This works on feed listings too, which is the usual way to add the photographs the MLS did not get.

Useful straight after a showing, or when the professional shots are not back yet.
Ordering, hiding, and the cover
In the photo manager you can:
- Reorder — drag them. The first visible photograph is the cover.
- Hide — a hidden photograph stays on file but does not appear publicly or in marketing pieces.
The cover is what appears on your website’s listing grid, on social graphics, in the announcement email, and on the link preview when someone shares the page.
Hiding and reordering survive MLS syncs.
Choosing a photograph for a marketing piece
Anywhere a marketing piece takes a photograph — a Studio template, a document, a social graphic — the picker offers the listing’s own photographs first, then your image library, then the house collection.
For a specific property, always use its own photographs. A stock photograph must never stand in for a real home; the app enforces this — a piece anchored to a listing is not offered stock imagery at all.
Photographs uploaded through the app are re-encoded to a format that renders reliably everywhere, including in the image exports. A web-optimised “progressive” JPEG sent by text can look right in the editor but come out blank in a downloaded PNG. If a piece looks wrong on export, re-upload that photograph through the app rather than texting it.
Storage
Uploaded photographs are held on our own storage and served from a fast image host, with an address that works everywhere your listing appears — your public page, an email, a shared link.
